I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Linguistics and Modern Language Studies, The Education University of Hong Kong. My research focuses on speech prosody, L2 phonological acquisition, and vocal attractiveness. I am also Acting Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies), Faculty of Humanities, EdUHK and an Academic Editor for PLOS One.

I welcome PhD supervision inquiries from students interested in any of the research areas mentioned above.

News: Our new paper 'Regional language effects on accent perception and language attitude: The case of Mandarin vs. Cantonese speakers in Mainland China' (with Yizhou Lan and Jeroen van de Weijer) has been accepted for publication in PLOS One.
