Biography

Dr ZOU Di is an Assistant Professor at the Department of English Language Education, The Education University of Hong Kong. She gained her PhD in English from City University of Hong Kong and TESOL certificate from Trinity College London. Before she joined The Education University of Hong Kong, she had taught at City University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research interests include technology-enhanced learning, AR/VR-enhanced learning, game-based language learning, vocabulary learning, flipped classroom, computer assisted language learning, and learning analytics. She has over 147 publications in journals and books with international impact, including Computers & Education, Computer Assisted Language Learning, Language Teaching Research, British Journal of Educational Technology, Language Learning and Technology, Educational Technology & Society, Interactive Learning Environments, Studies in Higher Education, Journal of Computing in Higher Education, Education and Information Technology, Australasian Journal of Educational Technology, International Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education and so on. Her Google Scholar citation count is 2193 (till October 2022) with h-index 27 and i10-index 44. She has been listed as one of the World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University in 2021 and 2022. She also got the Most Cited Article from Computers & Education and the Excellent Paper Award from International Conference on Blended Learning. She has very rich experience in conducting teaching development and language enhancement projects, the outputs of which have won the Golden Medal and Special Awards from International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada (iCAN), the Silver Medal from International Innovation and Invention Competition (IIIC) Taiwan, and so on. She is the Editor of Computers & Education, Associate Editor of Australasian Journal of Educational Technology, the Academic Editor of PLOS One, the editorial board member of International Journal of Mobile Learning and Organisation and Computers & Education: X Reality, a guest editor of the International Journal of Distance Education Technologies and the International Journal of Innovation and Learning, and a book editor of Current Developments in Web based Learning.
